Empowering Voices, Inspiring Change

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, an impactful awareness programme was conducted on 8th March 2026 at Balisahi, Cuttack, bringing together women from diverse backgrounds to celebrate strength, resilience, and rights. The session focused on creating awareness around women’s social, economic, and legal entitlements, while highlighting the importance of gender equality and empowerment. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions on health, hygiene, overall well-being, and access to government schemes and support services. The programme also emphasized education, skill development, and financial independence as key drivers of empowerment, while encouraging women to speak up against gender-based violence and discrimination. With a strong focus on building self-confidence and leadership, the initiative inspired women to take active roles in community development. A total of 50 participants, including women from slum communities, daily wage labourers, and staff members, actively took part in the programme. The session was graced by Ms. Dalli Dash, Secretary Representative of Project Swarajya, and was successfully organized by LWSIT Alliance.
