Maintenance of District Resource Centre in collaboration with NAWO

A District Resource Centre for Cuttack district on gender issues has been founded in collaboration with National Alliance of Women’s Organization (NAWO) and running in the premises of Project Swarajya since 2007. The objective of the centre is to support women for their empowerment along with to protect their human rights. This year the members and staff members conducted a series of programmes such as; deliberation, campaign, dharana, rallies against Nisha Nibarana, violence against women and trafficking of women and children in different places such as universities, colleges, in front of the office of District Magistrate, RDC, DG Police etc. There several press conferences were organised on related issues.
